Epic Games has just announced that Fortnite Battle Royale continues to grow, having now welcomed 45 MILLION players into the game, hitting 2 MILLION concurrent players this past weekend! To celebrate, the newly announced map update will be coming for all players for free, tomorrow.
45 million players with 2 million concurrent is a mental statistic for a game that is just 100 days old! Epic Games has not only created a masterpiece with Fortnite: Battle Royale but have started a cultural phenomenon. Gamers from all genres are teaming up in squads to try their luck in the 100 players free for all.
More than that it seems Epic Games have cracked the secret to the free to play model with microtransactions being purely cosmetic. Meaning there is absolutely no pay to win advantage for wealthier players.
The new updates, which can be seen in the trailer above will be free to all players of the hugely successful Fortnite Battle Royale mode. As well as the trailer for the new map update they also released the image below so you can see exactly where to jump off the battle bus and dive into the battle.
It seems that getting you excited for the map update isn’t enough for the guys and gals over at epic games though as they also released a trailer full of mind-blowing stats to celebrate 100 days of Fortnite: Battle Royale. The trailer below contains some epic numbers and really pushes home just how successful the game has been.
