The Yorkshire region has a thriving digital and creative sector with thousands of people employed in the industry. What many people dont know is that Yorkshire is also a hotbed for the video games industry.
Ga-Ma-Yo which stands for Game Makers Yorkshire is an informal network of video game developers based in and around Yorkshire which also hosts members only social events twice a year. Checkout the video below for some of the highlights from #GMY8.
GMY#8 like previous events was a total sellout and the venue was packed with hundreds of game developers from many well known game studios along with many up and coming indie game development studios from the region.
The event which brings together game makers of Yorkshire also attracted representatives from global gaming organisations including: Microsoft, Nintendo of Europe, Oculus VR, AMD, BlueGfx and Special Effect the Gamers Charity.
On the night there were many new video games on show and some cool and interesting gaming concepts.
The event was filmed by Clubit TV and more video from the night will be added shortly.
