The Bloodhound SSC Project – If you like really fast cars and construction toys, you will love this story!
Clubit TV recently met up with Ian Glover from the Bloodhound SSC Project who told us more about the worlds largest Knex toy structure based on the supersonic car.
The life size replica model of the Bloodhound Supersonic Car was on show outside the Olympia Exhibition Centre at the London Toy fair 2015.
The world’s largest K’Nex toy structure was made up of 382,000 individual toy pieces of K’nex and took over 1250 man hours to make.
Volunteers from the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) and members of the public who are interested in the Bloodhound Project spent over two months constructing the giant model car.
The Bloodhound SSC Project is a unique and highly technological project to design and build a car that will break the 1,000mph speed barrier and also set a new world land speed record.
The BLOODHOUND SSC engineering project is also trying to inspire the next generation of young scientists and engineers. The BLOODHOUND Education Programme is an initiative that will be made available to all pupils in primary, secondary schools, and to students in further and higher education. To date there are about 4,000 schools registered to take part in this ambitious scheme.
