The Tour de France 2014 cycle race starts in gods own country Yorkshire on Saturday 5th July . As the people of Yorkshire are getting ready to stage the biggest ever sporting event to hit the region a flock of sheep in North Yorkshire are also getting in on the Tour de France action by sporting #TDF colours – watch the video below.
Whilst streets all over the region are getting decorated with flags and bunting and yellow painted bikes the local sheep are joining in with the festivities by getting dyed with agricultural paint in the colours of the Tour de France cycle racers jerseys. The Tour de France sheep as they have become known were spotted in a farmers field overlooking the route of the Tour de France in a small village called Killinghall near Harrogate North Yorkshire.
The Tour de France cycle race will be beamed live all over the world and will be watched by millions of viewers worldwide. If you are watching keep an eye out for the Tour de France #tdfyorks sheep as they will almost certainly get picked up by the worlds news media.
