Royal Mail Strike Cancelled  Good news for online shoppers and online retailers in the UK – The Royal Mail postal strike that was planned for next Monday 4th November 2013 has been cancelled.  As we approach the busiest time of year for Christmas shopping, a one day strike would have caused mass disruption for many UK online retailers and etailers. The strike would have also resulted in delays and backlogs of thousands of parcels.

In a joint statement from the Communication Workers Union (CWU) and Royal Mail they have announced that progress has been made in coming closer to an agreement. Items include, a separate pensions agreement, improved pay and reward offer, workload issues and legal protections for employees. Click here to view the full statement from Royal Mail.
