Summer is finally here and yesterday we had our first BBQ of the season using the new Cypriot style barbeque. Its unique feature is the rotisserie mechanism that rotates the skewers to cook the meat over hot charcoals.

If you have ever been to Cyprus you have probably tasted the famous kebabs commonly known as Souvla or Souvlaki, usually made with pork or lamb.

Souvlaki are small diced cubes of meat cooked on skewers. These delicious kebabs are enjoyed with pitta bread, salad and a squeeze of lemon. Our barbeque comes complete with 11 small skewers so plenty of food can be cooked at the same time.

Souvlaki in pitta breadIncluded in the set are 3 large spit skewers for Souvla or chicken wings, perfect for parties and family gatherings .

The large chunks of meat (souvla) can take a couple of hours to cook but the beauty with this bbq is that the spits rotate automatically so the bbq chef can sit back and enjoy a drink whilst the food cooks itself.

Included in the barbeque set is a battery powered motor that will rotate either all eleven small skewers or the three large spits at the same time. (Additional motors can be purchased separately)

This bbq package comes complete with skewers, motor, gear drive mechanisms, legs, wheels and a large grill so you can still enjoy your burgers, sausages, seafood or anything else you fancy cooking.
